Sidnee C. Pinho
Frankel Group Experience
Sidnee has been with Frankel Group since 1997, during which time she has worked on an array of project types that span the pharmaceutical/biotechnology value chain, from efficiency of discovery efforts and clinical development planning, through strategic marketing and sales planning, as well as franchise development in various therapeutic categories. Her disease expertise is broad as well, including gastroenterology, infectious disease, rheumatology, oncology, and cardiovascular conditions.
Some of the most recent projects that she has managed include the development of a clinical development plan and target product profile for a bone-marrow derived stem cell product for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction, in addition to a study of orphan indications and the potential to leverage Proof-of-Concept (POC) trials to garner formal FDA approval. Sidnee was also part of the team that developed Frankel Group's CELESTIAL MATRIXSM , a customer segmentation and prioritization tool that uses statistical regression to determine the potential of each individual customer account.
In addition to her client work, Sidnee serves as the firm's Director of Operations and has responsibility for overseeing the firm's strategic and operational initiatives. These include Frankel Group's strategic planning process, as well as staff optimization (e.g., capacity planning, training, mentoring, recruiting, professional development, etc.).
Pre-Frankel Group Experience
Prior to joining Frankel Group, Sidnee worked as an equity research associate for Deutsche Banc Alex Brown covering the biotechnology market. Prior to DB, she was with Booz-Allen & Hamilton in their Communications, Media & Technology Practice where she was a strategy consultant in the areas of benchmarking, market modeling, and due diligence. In addition, she has worked in the Marketing Services and International Finance divisions of Pfizer, Inc, and led a student team that built and launched a telescope for NASA and the University of Pennsylvania Physics Department in 1995 (technologies included GPS directional analysis and CCD imaging).
Education
Sidnee has earned a BAS in Systems Engineering from The School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, a BSE in Finance and Multinational Management from The Wharton School, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from NYU/Stern.
Douglas B. Pfaff
Frankel Group Experience
Doug joined Frankel Group in 2005. His projects have spanned numerous therapeutic areas including cardiology, CNS, dermatology, hematology, immunology, inflammation, metabolics, oncology, rheumatology and women's health. He has served a range of healthcare clients including big pharma, small biotech, private equity, medical devices and contract sales.
Doug's work has covered an array of project types. Some examples are corporate strategy, business plan development, portfolio decision analysis, launch planning, compound lifecycle planning, due diligence/investment recommendations, market assessments, war-gaming, technology strategy, biosimilar assessment and process improvement.

Prior to joining Frankel Group, Doug was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company, another strategy consulting firm. While at Bain, Doug worked in a wide range of areas including market assessments, asset/company due diligence and valuations, sales force optimization, strategic prioritization of business units, and project management. Prior to Bain, Doug worked as the head of engineering for the surgical products division of Getinge/Castle, Inc.
Education
Doug holds a Masters of Business Administration with honors from Columbia Business School, and a Bachelors of Science Summa Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.
Dave Konciak
Frankel Group Experience
Dave joined Frankel Group in 2008 where his recent project experience has included asset due diligence for both financial and strategic buyers, licensing strategy development for a global biopharmaceutical company, and a franchise creation strategy for a niche specialty pharmaceutical company. Prior engagements have crossed the entire value chain and range from indication sequencing/target product profile development for early stage assets to a lifecycle management strategy for a $3.5 billion compound. Dave's experience spans a variety of therapeutic areas including oncology, inflammation, metabolics, pulmonology, cardiology, and pain management.

Prior to joining Frankel Group, Dave was a Manager at Deloitte Consulting where he led consulting engagements for global pharmaceutical, medical device, and contract R&D companies. Specific areas of focus included product portfolio analysis, business development strategy, R&D optimization, corporate governance, and organizational development. Before Deloitte, Dave worked for Taratec Development Corporation, a boutique life sciences consulting firm, where he guided the launch of two new offerings, built the firm's marketing department, and helped secure a round of Series A venture capital. Additionally, Dave has experience as an independent consultant leading a team in conducting an in-depth licensing assessment for an early stage oncology therapy for a $2 billion specialty pharmaceutical company.

Dave holds a BS Magna Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College and an MBA in Finance and Healthcare from the Wharton School of Business.
Robert J. Pogulis, Ph.D.
Frankel Group Experience
Rob joined Frankel Group in 2006. Since joining the firm, he has worked on a variety of engagements including market/opportunity assessment, product development and commercialization strategy, franchise development, life cycle management, channel strategy, business development screening, technology assessment, R&D collaboration planning and investment due diligence. Therapeutic areas of focus have spanned Oncology, Immune/Inflammatory Disease, Infectious Disease, CNS, Urology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Blood/Coagulation Disorders, and Vascular Disease. Rob has also worked in the biomarker and diagnostics arena across several of these therapeutic areas, as well as in the CRO space.

Prior to joining Frankel Group, Rob was Director of Business Development and Strategic Planning at Transgenomic Inc., a genomics company providing products/services to support translational research, molecular diagnostics and personalized medicine. Rob previously worked in equity research at RBC Capital Markets, with companies under coverage including major US-based pharmaceutical companies, and life sciences research tools providers.
Rob began his professional career as a Research Fellow in the Department of Immunology at the Mayo Clinic, and subsequently joined Wyeth Vaccines as a Sr. Research Scientist. His research pursuits have included regulation of gene expression, gene therapy, molecular and cellular immunology, novel therapeutic strategies for multiple sclerosis, vaccine discovery, and methods development.
Education
Rob holds a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota.
David L. Luckenbach
Frankel Group Experience
David joined Frankel Group in April 2007. Since that time his work has spanned an array of therapeutic areas, with a particular focus in arthritis, respiratory, pulmonary vascular disorders, women's health, and oncology. Recent projects have included due diligence on two separate late-stage oncology agents that targeted distinct niche patient populations with high unmet need, a deep dive into the clinical and macro trends affecting biologic usage over the next five years across a variety of geographies, development of a market opportunity assessment and business plan / franchise strategy for a pre-clinical targeted agent under development by a start-up oncology company, and a life cycle management strategy development for a soon-to-launch agent with broad potential applicability outside of its core indication. Past engagements have spanned market assessments, BD due diligence and target screening (both drugs and companies), strategic options analyses, launch plans, and CDA/non-CDA and presentation development.
Pre-Frankel Group Experience
Prior to joining Frankel Group, David was a Lead Analyst at Datamonitor, where he produced syndicated and customized research for healthcare-focused institutional investors. Output in this role included predicting trial outcomes and regulatory decisions, assessing market potential and forecasting product sales, and covering important medical conferences in detail. Before this role, David served as analyst in Datamonitor's syndicated healthcare research offering, where he focused at different times on rheumatologic conditions, respiratory disorders, and orthopedic implants. His consulting engagements as a Datamonitor analyst included a competitive intelligence exercise for a leading joint reconstruction implant manufacturer, and design of a 10-year therapeutic focus plan for a large pharmaceutical company's respiratory division.
David also held a position as a Chemist at Metcalf & Eddy, an environmental consulting firm, and served as an intern chemist in the organic synthesis lab at Biogen.
Education
David earned his B.A. in Chemistry at Dartmouth College.
Kate Grady
Frankel Group Experience
Kate has been with Frankel Group since 2006. Her experience spans a range of therapeutic areas including dermatology, immunology, cardiology, oncology, hematology and metabolics. Her recent project experience has included a focus on rare diseases, including early stage product concept development and valuation as well as due diligence support. She has also leveraged her background in epidemiology to help clients better understand incidence and prevalence rates for rare diseases. Prior engagements have also included a focus on immunology across the value chain from early stage indication prioritization to product commercialization and life cycle management. She has worked extensively on commercialization optimization of immunology products, including sales data analysis and customer segmentation and targeting.

Prior to joining Frankel Group, Kate served as the program director for a Chicago based children's product safety non-profit as well publishing in several peer reviewed journals.
Education
Kate has earned a BA in public policy with a concentration in health policy from The University of Chicago and a Masters of Public Health from Yale University.
